“Jade” - A Body of Motherhood - A Story of Power

"This is for the mothers who have had c section. The mothers that live with their post c section pouches. Not only for the women who were fortunate enough to meet their babies once they were numbed up and cut wide open, but also for the ones who didn't get that chance and went under anaesthetic, knocked out for 10 hours and had no recollection they were even waking up to a baby.

The ones who can't loose this pouch no matter how hard they diet or exercise. The ones trying to embrace their after-birth body, the ones trying to love their scars after bringing new life into this world...

This is 6 years postpartum, and I still carry the utmost amount of trauma around in this section of my body, but it's what gave me my beautiful son, and myself, life."
